Live In Housekeeper, Belgravia, London

A private household in Belgravia, London is looking for an experienced and reliable Live-In Housekeeper to join their household on a long-term basis.

The ideal candidate will be professional, discreet and highly organised, with strong private household experience and excellent attention to detail. The lady of the household travels frequently, so the successful candidate should be comfortable working independently and ensuring the home is maintained to a high standard in her absence.

When the lady is at home, the Housekeeper will also be expected to assist with cooking and meal preparation. Previous cooking experience would therefore be highly desirable.

The household also has a small dog, so the candidate should be comfortable around dogs and happy to assist with basic pet care when required.

Location: Belgravia, London
Job Type: Full-Time, Live In, Permanent
Salary: Negotiable (depending on experience) Working days: 6 days / week

Working hours: Flexible

Start Date: End of September

Responsibilities:

• Full housekeeping of the private residence
• Daily cleaning and maintaining excellent standards throughout the home
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
• Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms
• Keeping the residence organised, clean and beautifully presented
• General household duties and day-to-day upkeep
• Assisting with cooking and meal preparation when the lady is at home
• Caring for and walking the small dog
• Feeding the dog
• Preparing the home for the owner’s return
• Managing daily housekeeping routines independently

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Housekeeper in a private household
• Previous cooking or meal preparation experience is highly desirable
• Comfortable caring for a small dog
• Fluent English
• UK working permit
• Excellent references from previous employers
