Full Time Nanny / Housekeeper, Walworth, London

A private family in London is seeking an experienced and professional Nanny / Housekeeper to join their household from September or October 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who combines genuine professional nanny experience with strong housekeeping skills. As the family has a 4-month-old baby, proven experience caring for newborns and young infants is particularly important.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing attentive, nurturing childcare while also supporting the family with the day-to-day upkeep and organisation of the home.

This is not primarily a housekeeping position. The family is specifically looking for a professional nanny who is confident and experienced with babies and who is also happy to undertake household duties during appropriate periods.

The position is based in a three-storey private house of approximately 110 sqm, located on Wansey Street in London.

The household consists of the parents, their 4-month-old baby, and a friendly dog. The property also has a small patio garden.

The family is looking for someone who will become a trusted and dependable member of the household while maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Candidates with substantial newborn or infant experience, professional nanny training and strong housekeeping abilities may be considered at the top end of the salary range.

This position would suit a candidate who genuinely enjoys both childcare and household support.

The family does not simply need a cleaner who can occasionally assist with a baby. They are looking for an experienced nanny who understands the needs of a young infant and can confidently take responsibility for the baby while also maintaining the household to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing attentive and age-appropriate care for the 4-month-old baby
• Supporting the baby’s daily routine
• Ensuring the baby’s safety, comfort and wellbeing

• General tidying and household organisation
• Keeping the home clean, comfortable and well organised
• Supporting the family with general household tasks as required

There will likely be no requirement for regular shopping or household maintenance.

Requirements:

• Proven professional nanny experience
• Genuine experience caring for newborns and young babies
• Previous experience in private households
• Strong housekeeping and organisational skills
• A warm, caring and responsible approach to childcare
• Excellent attention to detail
• Professionalism, discretion and reliability
• An up-to-date DBS check
• Paediatric First Aid certification
• Formal nanny training or childcare qualifications would be a strong advantage
